Your new job

You will work closely with citizens in their daily lives to support and promote an independent life. Your tasks will include medication management, lifting, personal care with intimate hygiene and incontinence, as well as social support, creating structure, motivating, activities, and household chores - always with the citizen's participation in focus. The operation has access to a bus used for service matters and outings with citizens. In this role, you will work with social documentation, implementation plans, and case management. Collaboration occurs with relatives, legal representatives, colleagues, managers, and other professionals such as healthcare, employment, and authorities. Other tasks may occur and vary over time.

As a Support Educator, you will be responsible for supporting, guiding, and developing the workgroup within the pedagogical work. You will plan, follow up, and develop the work together with your colleagues, and provide support with work plans, documentation, and implementation plans. Together, you will identify and create conditions for individual development and motivation for the individual.

Your qualifications

• You are an educated support educator, which requires a post-secondary specialization in the disability field with a pedagogical focus that includes at least 200 YH points or 60 HP, or other education the employer deems equivalent. Examples of YH education include support educator, activation pedagogue, social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue.
• You have at least one year of experience working in the disability field or in care work, or equivalent work.
• We would like you to have experience working with autism and the elderly.
• Desirable with experience in clarifying pedagogy, motivational interviewing, low-arousal responses, visual support, as well as TAKK and AAC.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech, writing, and reading comprehension is required for handling documentation, information gathering, and communication, as well as good computer skills.
• The work can be physically demanding, which requires good physical mobility.
• Meritorious with a B driver's license for manual transmission.

Welcome to us

Group Housing Stensholmsvägen is an LSS residence for people with intellectual disabilities, focused on autism. Here, five citizens of retirement age with varying needs live. The residence has beautifully newly renovated premises and is located in the Stensholm area in Huskvarna, close to green areas and good parking outside. The staff group consists of 11 employees who have worked many years within the operations and work to make life safe and meaningful for those we are here for. The goal is to promote personal abilities and create as rich and qualitative an everyday life as possible, considering personal integrity.

We are now looking forward to a new colleague who has a good understanding of what it means to work within LSS and shares our desire to work based on the intentions and values of the legislation!

Good to know

The recruitment concerns a permanent position with a start date according to agreement. Working hours are scheduled for day/evening/weekend. Jönköping municipality always offers 100% employment rate, and co-planning with work in another operation may occur.
